Franklin Regional elementary students in Grades 3-4-5 will participate in 2018 PSSA testing in the areas of ELA (English Language Arts) and Math. Swimming begins Mon., March 27
The elementary swimming program begins for all students in Grades 1-5 on Wednesday, April 4. Elementary students are transported by bus to the Middle School pool where classes take place. Swimming is part of our regular elementary physical education program. 2017 Blackburn Center Classroom Visits
A representative of Blackburn Center’s Educational Department will be visiting the Kindergarten, Grade 3, Grade 4 (Internet Safety only), and Grade 5 starting Thursday, May 4 and run through Monday, May 15. They will be presenting lessons on the topics on Bullying, Internet Safety/Cyber Bullying, and Personal Safety. 2017 Summer Office Hours & School Counselor Availability
Newlonsburg Elementary will be open in the summer from 7:00-3:00 daily. If you need to visit Newlonsburg for any reason, it is always safe to call first to ensure that someone will be there to assist you when you arrive. (724) 327-5456 X4002. Our school counselor, Mr. Doug Kelly, will be available in the building several dates this summer. Currently, they are scheduled for June 13, June 14, June 20, June 22 and June 26. He will also be scheduled for July 19, 24, 31 and August 9. Gr. 1-5 Report Cards: April 7
Students in Grades 1-5 will receive third quarter report cards on Friday, April 7, 2017. Report cards will be sent home with students. Parents are asked to sign the outside of the yellow envelope on the Quarter 3 line and return ONLY THE ENVELOPE to their child's teacher. This confirms to the teacher that the report card was received. Parents may KEEP the REPORT CARD itself. Kindergarten report cards will be issued once again at the close of the school year. As a reminder, grades for special classes are only issued in Quarters 2 and 4.
